Mount horizontally over your coop opening with the included screws. Keep the light sensor and solar panel unobstructed.

Power on and set the current time.

Set Open and Close times (must be at least 30 minutes apart).

FAQs
Will it crush a chicken?
No. The anti-pinch system reverses on contact and tries again later.
Does it work without sun?
Yes. Solar provides top-ups, and you can charge directly via 5 V/0.5 A DC.
How does sunrise/sunset detection work?
The sensor reacts to ambient light (around 300 LUX). If your site has unusual lighting, switch to Timer or Intelligent mode.
Why won’t my times save?
Open and Close must be ≥ 30 minutes apart. Increase the gap and save again.

Easy to install and works fantastic! in partial shade and keeping 90% charged so far so very happy!
The chooks love the idea of not waiting for us ( the owners) to open the door in the mornings.
So good!! This door is heavy duty and great quality. What a life changer. No need to be up at the crack of dawn or to be home to lock the Chook’s away at night. Even saves you from heading out in the pouring rain to let them in or out. Awesome idea and well worth it!

We love the look of the door. Unfortunately we are finding it difficult technologically to install
Arrived in a reasonable time frame was easy to i stall, the app was easy to negotiate and use and the door has made life easier ie: I get to sleep in instead of getting up at the crack of dawn to let the chook and ducks out for the day.
Bluetooth range is quite limited, but apart from that it works well.

I just love the solar chicken door, I can go away for a few nights and know that they are safe at night and can let themselves out in the morning. I wish that I had one years ago, it would have saved me having to ask my family to look after them.
