It works perfectly and very easy to install. My door faces east and gets enough sun to keep it fully charged
Keep your flock safe on autopilot. This solar-powered, roll-up chicken coop door opens at sunrise and closes after dusk—or exactly when you schedule it. A built-in anti-pinch system protects hens while closing. Control it from the onboard panel, the Bluetooth mobile app, or the included remote. Weatherproof housing and an aluminium roll panel handle Aussie rain, frost and dust without fuss.
3 smart modes
Light Mode — opens at sunrise, closes at sunset (≈300 LUX threshold).
Timer Mode — set your own open/close times on a 24-hour clock.
Intelligent (Hybrid) Mode — uses ambient light around dusk and force-closes 30 minutes after your set time for reliable lock-ups.
Anti-pinch safety — if a bird is underneath while closing, the door auto-reverses and retries after ~20 seconds.
Solar + USB charging — integrated solar panel plus 5 V/0.5 A DC charging; status LEDs show charge and low-power states.
Manual override anytime — one-touch open/close from the front panel; remote/app work whenever the unit is powered on.
All-weather build — sealed electronics and aluminium roll-up panel;

User manual
Mount horizontally over your coop opening with the included screws. Keep the light sensor and solar panel unobstructed.
Power on and set the current time.
Set Open and Close times (must be at least 30 minutes apart).
Choose Light, Timer, or Intelligent mode.
Test Manual Open/Close via panel buttons, remote, or the app.
Pro tips:
In shaded runs or where yard lights stay on at night, use Timer or Intelligent mode.
Keep the sensor window clean for consistent sunrise/sunset detection.
Will it crush a chicken?
No. The anti-pinch system reverses on contact and tries again later.
Does it work without sun?
Yes. Solar provides top-ups, and you can charge directly via 5 V/0.5 A DC.
How does sunrise/sunset detection work?
The sensor reacts to ambient light (around 300 LUX). If your site has unusual lighting, switch to Timer or Intelligent mode.
Why won’t my times save?
Open and Close must be ≥ 30 minutes apart. Increase the gap and save again.
