Pets Gear GreenNest Portable Chicken Coop with Run
A cleaner routine, easier egg checks and a setup that fits your backyard. The Pets Gear GreenNest Portable Chicken Coop with Run Options is designed to take friction out of everyday flock care. Its easy-care HDPE housing, removable cleaning tray, ventilation and separate nesting and roosting areas help make morning checks, egg collection and regular clean-outs more organised. Choose the same green GreenNest housing on its own, with an integrated run or with extra enclosed run space.
Mobility wheels are included with the Run and Extended Run configurations only; Coop Only does not include wheels.
There is no need to compare three completely different coop bodies. All three options use the same GreenNest housing, so you simply choose the included run space and wheel setup that suit your available space and the way you care for your hens.
Make Everyday Chicken Keeping Easier
- Spend less time on messy clean-outs: easy-care HDPE surfaces and the slide-out tray help make routine cleaning more straightforward.
- Make morning egg checks simpler: a separate laying area keeps the nesting space apart from the roosting area, making regular collection feel more organised.
- Give hens a sheltered place to settle: the enclosed housing and ventilation provide a defined resting and nesting area away from the outdoor run.
- Keep your backyard setup more organised: the housing, access points and selected run form one coordinated setup instead of a patchwork of separate enclosures.
- Choose a footprint you will actually use: select only the amount of enclosed run space that suits your yard and flock routine.
Picture a Simpler Daily Routine
Open the access point, check the laying area, collect eggs, inspect the latches and slide out the tray for cleaning without taking the housing apart. These small jobs happen again and again. GreenNest is designed to reduce the friction in those repeated tasks, so checking on your hens can feel like part of a calm backyard routine rather than another complicated chore.
Which GreenNest Configuration Is Right for You?
All three configurations use the same HDPE coop housing. The included run space and wheels are the key differences.
| Configuration | Best for | Run included | Approx. assembled size | Supplier’s indicative guide* |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coop Only – No Wheels | Backyards with an existing suitable secure activity area or a supervised roaming routine | No enclosed run | 146 L × 88 W × 120 H cm | 4–6 medium hens |
| Coop with Run & Wheels | A compact all-in-one setup with enclosed outdoor space | Integrated run | 205 L × 121 W × 120 H cm | 4–6 medium hens |
| Coop with Extended Run & Wheels | Backyards wanting additional enclosed movement space | Extended run | 287 L × 121 W × 120 H cm | 6–10 medium hens |
*Bird counts are the supplier’s indicative references for medium-sized hens, not guaranteed capacities. For Coop Only – No Wheels, the figure describes housing and roosting use within a complete management setup; it does not replace a suitable outdoor activity area. The right flock size depends on breed, body size, roosting and nesting needs, time spent outside the enclosure, climate, local animal-welfare guidance and your management setup. When in doubt, allow more space. For planning guidance, use the Pets Gear Chicken Coop Size Calculator.

Before You Order
- Measure the full footprint and allow extra clearance for doors, ramps, cleaning access, handles and any perimeter panels.
- Place the assembled coop on firm, level and well-drained ground.
- Inspect panels, latches, fixings and access points regularly, and secure or anchor the setup for your site and local weather.
- No enclosure can guarantee protection from every predator. Use suitable overnight management and additional safeguards for local conditions.
Quick Answers
Are the three options different coop models?
No. They use the same green GreenNest HDPE housing. The differences are the included run space and wheels: Coop Only – No Wheels includes neither, Coop with Run & Wheels includes the integrated run and wheels, and Coop with Extended Run & Wheels includes the extended run and wheels.
Which configuration should I choose?
Choose Coop Only – No Wheels if you already have an appropriate secure activity area or supervised roaming setup. Choose Coop with Run & Wheels for a compact all-in-one option. Select Coop with Extended Run & Wheels when additional enclosed movement space is the priority.
Is assembly required?
Yes. Assembly is required, and the carton count varies by configuration. Check all parts against the configuration-specific instructions before use.
Is this chicken coop predator-proof?
No enclosure should be treated as completely predator-proof. Inspect the setup regularly and add safeguards appropriate to predators in your area.
Choose your GreenNest configuration above and create a cleaner, more organised backyard routine for you and your flock.
